today in maths i did tessellation this is when shapes fit into the same shape, there are four examples above as you can see they all fit into each other with no gaps.

Maths 10/11-construction of 3D solid

Today in maths I constructed a square based pyramid this required making a base out of coloured paper  and then drawing out a 4 cm by 4 cm square and then drawing 4 triangles with flaps and then gluing them all together. The height of the triangle was 6 cm.

Today in maths I have been using this site called Mathigon to make tangrams.

For making tangrams I had to rotate flip and slide shapes to make the correct shape. For example the square for the head has been rotated to the side and the foot at the bottom has been flipped to fit.

This particular tangram was quite easy and i have completed other ones but I could not find the screenshots for them, but here is the site to build tangrams.Tangram Builder.
